Here is the information on local area repeater systems

The "High Desert Amateur Radio Group" (HiDARG) has several repeaters linked together across Central Oregon. There are numerous other repeaters around the region provided by other groups and clubs as well, some are linked to regional systems covering large areas.

This is one of the HiDARG club repeaters and is located on Long Butte between Bend and Redmond.  It normally operates as a stand-alone repeater except when linked to the other HiDARG linked repeater system during nets or if needed in an emergency.  This is your best repeater for local-only hamradio activity or access to nets when linked.  The altitude is 3,569 feet. This is one of the HiDARG linked system repeaters.  It is located on Pine Mountain about 30 miles southeast of Bend and is the hub for the rest of the linked repeaters.  A 70 cm repeater is also at this location and is part of this hub.  The altitude is about 6,496 feet. This is one of the HiDARG linked system repeaters and is located in the remote northeast corner of Lake County on Glass Buttes. It is about 70 miles east of Bend at an altitude of 6,385 feet.  Visit their website for more information: https://hidarg.org/

This is one of the HiDARG linked system repeaters.  It is located in Harney County on Sharps Ridge northeast of Burns at an altitude of 4,704 feet.  Visit their website for more information: https://hidarg.org/

This is one of the HiDARG club repeaters and is located on Stepheson Mountain about 15 miles west of Mitchell at an altitude of 5,804 feet.  Visit their website for more information: https://hidarg.org/

This is one of the HiDARG linked system repeaters.  It is located at the John Day Airport in Grant County.  It is one mile southwest of John Day at an altitude of 3,703 feet.  Visit their website for more information: https://hidarg.org/

This is the primary hub of the HiDARG linked system of repeaters.  It is located on Pine Mountain about 30 miles southeast of Bend with an altitude is about 6,496 feet.  Visit their website for more information: https://hidarg.org/

HiDARG Affiliated Repeater Systems

This is an AllStar system located on the east side of Long Butte between Bend and Redmond.  This repeater is often connected to the WIN system. This repeater is owned and operated by the Wheeler Amateur Radio Club. It is located near Fossil at an altitude of about 2,654 feet.  Visit their website for more information:  http://www.wheelerarc.org/

 

This is a Yaesu System Fusion repeater that is currently configured for both digital C4FM and FM modes.  A detected FM transmission will switch the repeater and other digital transceivers from digital to analog FM mode to accommodate non-digital radios on this repeater  It is not currently linked to the WIRES-X system so it functions only as a local repeater. Other Central Oregon Repeaters

This repeater is linked to the Peak Radio Association system which operates the largest communications network in Oregon covering all of Interstate 5 and most of highways 97, 20, and 101.   The Cline Butte repeater is located about 7 miles west of Redmond at an elevation of 4,290 feet. This repeater is located about 30 miles east of Chemult on Bald Mountain.  The coverage area is from Klamath Falls to Central Oregon and is at an elevation of 7,100 feet.

This repeater is owned and operated by the Deschutes County ARES/Auxcomm group to provide wide area emergency communications.  It is located atop the Summit Lift on Mt Bachelor at an elevation of 9,000 feet.  More information about the ARES group is available from their website.  https://dcaresauxcomm.org/

This repeater is operated by the K7HWY – Central Oregon Amateur Radio EmComm Team in LaPine. It is located on Walker Mountain which is 7 miles SSW of Chemult with an elevation of 7,100 feet.

This repeater is located near Sunriver and coverage area is roughly from Highway 138 to Redmond. The elevation is around 4,750 feet.

This repeater is located on Fivemile Butte about 8 miles NW of Sisters.  Coverage is about a 30 mile radius and reaches from Sunriver to Madras.  The elevation is 4,080 feet.

This repeater is part of the Amateur Radio Relay Group Inc. statewide repeater system. The repeater is located just north of Redmond and linked to the Mt Hood and Timberline system. This repeater is part of the Amateur Radio Relay Group Inc. statewide repeater system. The repeater is located on Mt Hood and is linked to the Cinder Butte repeater. ECHOLINK NODE # AC7QE-R is on 147.120, 444.225 and also carried on both the Central Oregon repeaters in Warm Springs and Bend The elevation is 7,000 feet. This repeater is linked to the Peak Radio Association system which operates the largest communications network in Oregon covering all of Interstate 5 and most of highways 97, 20, and 101.   The Hoodoo repeater is located near Santiam Pass and is linked to the Cinder Butte repeater. This repeater is part of the Amateur Radio Relay Group Inc. statewide repeater system. The repeater is located about 8 miles NNW of Warm Springs and linked to the Mt Hood and Timberline system.
